***New*** Run n' Yoga Clinics Starting in June

Get your cardio on and add in a great stretch with our latest twist on traditional classes.  Just in time for summer and in the spirit of being outdoors we are excited to introduce our 'Run n' Yoga' clinics starting mid June.  Maria, our seasoned in-house runner will start you off with a 20-30 minute run, first on flat terrain only to build up your stamina towards hitting the steps and hills of the beautiful Casa Loma grounds then, she will lead you through a 25 min runner-specific mini yoga class back at the studio.  It's such a great combo, we are scratching our heads wondering why we haven't done this before!    There are 2 clinics to chose from, morning or evening.  Space is limited so reserve your spot today.

Summer Theme for Lisa's Classes - Arm Balances

Learn and perfect your Arm Balances in all of Lisa's classes!
 
That's right, if you didn't already know, Arm Balances are the theme for the Spring-Summer seasons in Lisa's classes.  We are talking all kinds of Arm Balances including forearm stands, handstands and headstands.  It will be a season of building upper body strength, flexibility and of course balance. Modifications will be given to accommodate all levels of experience and don't forget Wednesday evenings are assisted by Oliver giving you even more attention and support to perfect these poses.

Intro to Meditation Workshop

Meditation can offer immediate relief from agitation in the mind, as a way to slow down and see how our mind works. It is based on the premise that the natural state of the mind is calm and clear.  It provides a way to train our mind to settle into this state.  In the process, we get to know how our mind works.  We begin to see that we have a choice in the matter, that we do not have to act a the whim of every thought.  By working with our mind in meditation we can break old patterns and change our habitual reactions.
 
In this introductory workshop, you will learn some basic meditation techniques with a focus on mindfulness, go over common challenges encountered in meditation and learn how to work with them, and discuss ways to incorporate meditation into your daily life.  There will be time for both seated and walking meditation practice.
