Shas Studio offers a friendly, caring and fun environment where you will be appropriately challenged to experience your full potential and educated about your body and its relationship to the principles of the disciplines you practice. Whether you participate in our intimate-sized group classes, semi-privates or privates, on/off-site, we endeavour to bring to you the same gold standard quality-minded classes that we have come to be known for since our humble beginnings in 2006.
Our studio is stocked with many smaller props to help enhance the practice including: mats, Yoga blocks, Yoga straps, Yoga bolsters, Pilates rings, therabands, stability balls, weighted balls and kettle bells. We also have a Pilates Reformer and a Pilates Cadillac Wall Unit that we use for privates and semi-privates.
In-studio we offer mat, towel and water service free of charge. You may also bring your own mat if you wish. We respectfully ask that all students clean their mats at the end of their session and return them and any props to the appropriate location. If you used a cup for water, we ask that you wash and dry it in the washrooms and return it to the small cup shelves where you would have originally found it. If you used a towel simply place it in the towel hamper at the entrance of the practice area.
We offer Yoga, Beginner Yoga, Pilates and Power Pilates as well as Bootcamp classes on our regular schedule. We occasionally offer workshops and other special classes which are advertised through our newsletter and on our websites.
We limit our classes to 11 participants and you may sign up in advance online once you are a member and have purchased classes (also referred to as class credits). You may also email us your intention to participate in the class to reserve a spot. We welcome drop-ins as well.
When appropriate, we do manual adjustments (hands-on) to assist you in performing the exercises and poses properly and safely. However if you do not wish to receive this type of adjustment please advise your instructor before the beginning of the class - we will happily honour your request.
